Checking Caption hintsOn, the composer quietly suggests a short caption from what is in the photo, entirely on the phone (Vision labels plus the on device model), with a small use button next to the caption field. Never guesses about people. Off by default. Live, no app update.
Checking caption modelCloud on: the phone sends a 512px copy of the developed photo to Gemini 3 Flash through ai.relayyyy.com for three real caption options, capped at 40 a day per phone, with the on device model as the fallback. Cloud off: on device only (Vision tags plus the Apple model), which is private but guessy. Only matters while Caption hints are on.

Menu iconsKeep action-menu icons in Relay’s signature color, or match them to the menu text. Destructive icons always stay the same red as their text.
Ask Lynx in chatsWho gets the Ask Lynx entry in the chats compose menu. Age checked uses Apple’s declared age range and only shows it to accounts that clear 16. Off removes Lynx from the app entirely.
